HOW IT STARTED
FANNING THE FLAME
As the youth ministry continued to grow, the church began reaching beyond its walls through impact teams and intentional discipleship. Young couples were prepared and released into ministry, resulting in new churches being planted across the nation. With evangelism and missions becoming central to the church’s identity, a fresh season of growth and forward momentum began.
A SPARK OF REVIVAL
In 1970, Wayman and Nelda Mitchell stepped into a small, struggling church in Prescott. Even with plenty of challenges, God began moving powerfully among a group of young people. Through creative outreaches like coffeehouse concerts, the church quickly started to grow, marking the beginning of a fresh and exciting spiritual awakening.
TAKING THE FLAME WORLDWIDE
What began as a clear vision to reach the world took shape with the planting of the first international church in Australia. From there, the work expanded into countries such as Mexico, Holland, and Germany, continuing to spread year after year. Today, that vision is carried forward through more than 4,000+ churches worldwide.
